Shri Ram promises Mata Sita that he will capture the golden deer and bring it back to her. Meanwhile, he instructs Lakshman to keep watch over Mata Sita and ensure her safety. However, Lakshman hears cries for help and creates a ‘Lakshman Rekha’ around Mata Sita’s cottage, warning her to stay within it at all times in their absence.
